(Remember- these animals play a part in the plot. No glomp-tearing unless Xan or I say so. >.<)

Lyra's eyes came open as soon as the metallic animals began to rush the small shack they were staying in with Ebony and Ivory. Her keen hearing had picked up on them but she was still groggy. Safari's warning startled her into full awareness though.
She sat bolt upright and as she looked over she saw the horror the group was facing. This didn't look good. She stood up and let her instincts take hold. She wasn't sure it was possible to fight these things but if one attacked her she was going to have to try. Baring her teeth she turned to face the door, the shackles on the back of her neck raising, her tail bristling in rage. Let the metal beasts come. If they attacked the group, as it looked like they were going to, she would stand her ground or die trying.

Over the ridge. More flodded. They wanted the group, Safari could tell. There were too many numbers. Too many to tell. They needed to leave, and fast. Safari shook the shoulders ofthe still-sleeping. "We need to leave! And fast!" She barked, shaking Artiema's shoulders. Ebony and Ivory had disappeared in the short while Safari had been trying to wake up her friends. She took the paw-hand of Lyra and motioned for her to help wake up everyone. The beating ,thundering feet of the mechanical animals grew closer. When everyone had risen, she motioned for them to follow her. She ran the opposite direction of the pack of cronies, tail shaking under her cloak in fear and adrenalin.

while the others went out the door phon smashed through the wall and ran off to the group, he tried to stay ahead but seemingly safari was leading, and Phon had to protect them all. The mechanical animal looked like they were getting closer. Phon can fight, but it would be best to run. As he ran he made loud stomping noises due to his wieght, making the ground crack at every step. Phon could run for miles, but still he had to stay with the group, and if the animals cought up... the they HAVE to fight.

Ryn had not gone to sleep with the others. She had been to tense to sleep. So she'd sat in the corner, crouched like a cat ready to pounce, her tail waving back and forth. She had watched the others, her eyes scanning the room. When Safari stepped outside, Ryn's red gaze followed her. When she ran back inside, looking paniced, and shouted that there was danger, Ryn was on her feet in a flash. She had run to the door and looked out at the strange animals. When the others ran out of the shack-house, Ryn followed, her eyes flashing black, because this was scary. She ran after Safari, keeping her wings tucked in close so they wouldn't slow her down.

Safari was right, the mechanical beasts outnumbered them by a staggering amount, there was no choice but to flee. So, feeling much like a scolded cub, she swallowed her pride and her natural instinct to protect her "home," albeit only a temporary one, and ran with her tail tucked between her legs after the others.
"Of all the rotten luck..." she thought to herself as she ran, looking up at the sky for a moment. "Can't we get a break?!" she asked herself, as if some higher being was listening and watching down on the group from above, but of course, no one answered her.
Her emotions were torn between anger and fear. She was angry at having to run, but the prospect of possibly losing her life and never seeing her true home again was scary.

Safari yelled for them to follow her. "This way!" She called and blundered down an alleyway on clumsy feet. It should be big enough for everyone to get through, but not some of the animals. She led them through shacks and roads and corridors and eventually left the slums. Nothing was working. She paused for a breif moment, thinking of where to go. Not to the big looming city. Thatsprobably where the creatures came from. And not to the market place. Thats a no. So she headed west, the direction they hadn't gone. The Mechanical animals close behind them. Soon they came across a narrow bridge leading onto a different island. A deep, dense forest awaited on the other side. There stood the rag-tag groups only hope.

Phon looked over at the bridge, it looked fine to cross. For an animal. if they were going to cross, Phon must go last, or the bridge might break and NONE of them will cross. Then he looked back, the mechanical animals were getting alot closer. Phon went to the back of the group, putting him in the middle of the group and the poorly made animal things.

Ryn chased after Safari. She wasn't exactly used to running on two legs, but her tail helped balance her, so she didn't fall, only stumbled a few times. A thought entered her mind, that she could probably fly away to safety, but that would mean leaving the others- or at least the ground-bound ones. She tried to run faster, pushing the thought to the back of her mind. Abandoning them would leave her alone, and there were strengths in numbers. So she kept running, following Safari.

As the group neared the narrow bridge, her thoughts took a different turn. The bridge was narrow and it looked rickety from this distance. What if it collapsed while they were on it. Phon seemed like a heavy being, the bridge could crack under his weight. The situation was dire and the outcome was looking very grim to her, but as scary as the bridge was, it was their only hope.
Swallowing her extreme fear, she ran on and once they reached the bridge she made a giant leap and continued to run as fast as she could. This was the only way out. It was either cross it, or get killed.

Safari, at the lead, sprinted over the bridge, and almost ran face- first into thick, marshy woodland. Perfect. "Follow me. We can loose them through here." She said, plunging into the brush. She turned at the first tree, and almost ran into a different one. After a while she noticed she didn't know which way she was headed anymore. She was lost! She had gotten them all lost. She stopped, looking around. Like the good little lost animals they were, they had followed her in hopes of getting out. But alas. No hope. ENTER: MESOPOTAMIA. (Jess needs to make a new board now. )
